Where was this when Italy declared war on 10th June 1940?

    Thanks in advance,
    David.

I had kind of worked that much out myself Mark!

Perhaps I should have been more precise and less general. Do we know where in Egypt?

    Kind Regards,
    David.

I believe that they were The Matruh Mobile Force (see usual picture of a donkey in a respirator) or Immobile Farce!
Consisting of HQ Cairo Cavalry Bde &Sigs, 7th Hussars (light tanks), 8th Irish Hussars (15cwt trucks), 1st RTR (light tanks), 11th Hussars (armoured cars), 3 RHA (3.7"Howitzers), plus support units. Brig. Russell

    At Mersa Matruh

Later joined by 1 KRRC and became the Mobile Division (Egypt) under Major General Hobart in August 1939

Officially became 7th Armoured Division (with more units) on 16th Feb 1940 under Major General O'Moore Creagh.
The day Italy declared war, (June 10th) they were already at the Frontier Wire.
