Hello all was wondering if any body had any war diarys for my grandas regiment the 80 assault sqaudron royal engineers after August 1944 Paul Reed kindly gave me their war diarys from June 44 to August 44 and i would like to see if there is any more out there best regards Michael
There are, but they are all at the National Archives in London where those copies I sent you were made. There are some members here who offer an inexpensive copying service at the archives, probably cheaper than going there yourself?
These are the National Archive references for the war diaries: WO 171/1808 80 Sqn. 1944 Jan.- Dec. WO 171/5324 80 Sqn. 1945 Jan.-Mar. If nobody else has had them copied already and you'd like me to do them for you then give me a shout. Lee
