I am researching for the the family the war record of 7361880 Pte. Kenneth Hoyes. He is still alive (104 years old) and served with the 8th Field Ambulance with the B.E.F and was evacuated at Dunkirk. To get the 'time line' right where would he have done his Basic/ Medical training?
As he is still alive he can apply to the MOD for his own records for free. Maybe contact his local MP they might be able to jump the queue.
I writing a family history about Private Kenneth Hoyes (Army number 7361880); he enlisted in the RAMC in 1939 and went through the war after Dunkirk and served in North Africa then Italy and is still alive today.. Are there any records of the 8th Field Ambulance from 1939 to 1945?
