I'm trying to piece information together about my Grandfather and I realise things can be embellished with the passage of time! Things I think I know ...he was Irish and already in the army in 1937 and probably in 1933. He was in Egypt in 1940- could his wife have given birth there? He was then in Colchester barracks in 1946. Now family suggests he was a sarge ant or even a RSM in the Irish Hussars. His name was Edward Nolan. Sometimes Pascoe added to his name. Why can't I find anything about him?
