RE3 SEAC Singapore Can anyone please tell me what all this means? The bit I have highlighted in bold is very hard to read and this is what it looks like it says to me. Many thanks ps the letter is dated 22/9/45
No Drew means to him, that's his surname. Oh No ! The poor bloke comes on here with an innocent question about an abbreviation and leaves with Andy claiming to be related to him !
Somebody searching for a WW2 RE unit on ARRSE (Army Rumour Service) had some luck - with the curator of the RE Museum - Mail@re-museum.co.uk. Good Luck!
Shaun, Can you post a close up scan of the original document. Regards Andy I'll try to get a scan done over the weekend, I've got some photos too.
Can find Platoons of the RE listed as -eg; 620 Electrical and Mechanical Platoon -759 etc.But still not found MA TAS RE3 There are other abbreviations where the A is Artificer. Or - T ? - Assault Squadron
