Except for the CS version, the entire run of the A27L Centaur was armed with the 6-pdr gun. So were the first two marks of the A27M Cromwell. I believe all the Cromwell's in 21 AG were armed either with the 75mm or the 95mm how, and Centaurs with the Royal Marines were all the CS version. Does anyone know if any vehicles of the A27 series armed with the 6-pdr ever saw active service anywhere? I would include OP and command tanks, etc. I seem to recall that a 6-pdr armed tank may have been one of the two Cromwells used by the IDF in 1948, but I am not certain of it. Thanks.
