I wonder if a member might be able to clarify the abbreviations I have been researching. In particular, STIB is of interest and I’m not sure I have got this right.
    Thank you for any help.

I'm confident that you'd receive a full transcription if you could:

    a) Upload a larger and sharper copy of this and whatever document(s) / page(s) preceded it.
    b) Upload any other records you have on this man's service--context often removes lengthy diversions.

Unfortunately this is all I have but I have sent the complete page.
As you can see, he has been sick a number of times and was eventually wounded in Feb 44 during the battle of the “Admin Box “.
He then was evacuated and eventually attached to 170 Line of Communication for a brief time. It’s the next few rows which I can’t decipher.
    Apologies for the poor quality.

It’s in the column for the Part II Order reference so it’ll be an admin reference and not a unit served. The order will have been destroyed a long time ago.

Your P/A is more likely Permanently Attached.

The abbreviations on the B102 Index Card are usually fully written in the B103 Casualty forms.

I think the answer's above it: 5 Selection and Training Infantry Battalion
