Apologies if this has already been posted elsewhere but if you follow this link... https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=z8RRvQYE6Eh4.kO6dzF4En4RM&hl=en_US You go to an interactive google map showing all of the bombs dropped on Aberdeen by the Luftwaffe. Thought some members might find it useful.
Link to some video of the bomb damage https://scotlandonscreen.org.uk/browse-films/007-000-000-049-c Aberdeen City Council has collated a "War Damage Register" http://www.aberdeencity.gov.uk/education_learning/local_history/archives/loc_onlineexhibitionsubsections.asp http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/north_east/8485102.stm
The register is very basic, if you go to the national archives there are files with sketches and some photos too
Alan that might be the case but not everyone is lucky to be able to attend the NA at Kew. If you have been to the NA and you would like to share more info on the subject that would be good. regards Clive
I have copies of the files from TNA, if anybody needs details from areas of Aberdeen drop me a note and I'll send them on.
