    Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of researching and writing a novel that is set primarily in WWII, German Occupied France. Unfortunately. I'm really struggling on finding any information on 'Albert' a small town in France in the Somme region. I can find lots of information on 1914-1918 and have even visited the town only to find information of the occupation of the town scarce.

I know that Amiens (not too far from Albert) had heavy air raids for two days before the German's invaded the town, but was wondering it Albert was bombed before its invasion too?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Albert was bombed several times but to my knowledge never in 1940 except by German planes in the Blitzkrieg period. Leonard Cheshire VC led the pathfinders on one of the raids on the aircraft factory just outside the town.
