    Hi

I am looking for service record details for my Grandfather

His name was Alexander Horner Milligan. He was born in 1920 and died in 1993. He was from Greenock, Scotland.

His parents were William Milligan and Elizabeth Milligan born Clements.

I have been told that he served possible in North Africa and that he was wounded, possibly shot in the leg. We have a photograph of him in military uniform.

Does anyone have information on his service?

    Regards

    C

You should undoubtedly send for his service records. Get a copy of military service records

If you can post a scan/photograph of the photograph, people may be able to pick up on the badges on his uniform to tell you some things.

Welcome aboard. On a quick search he does not appear before your post; there are plenty of threads on a certain Spike Milligan. There is a family tree on My Heritage, not accessed.

Some research tips via PM in a moment.
