Hmm - not sure about this but The link for his civil death registration is associated to the Grave index, so he may have been injured in Europe, hospitalised and then eventually died in Tonbridge then transported to Llandudno England & Wales, Civil Registration Death Index, 1916-2007 Name: Richard H Richards Death Age: 40 Birth Date: abt 1905 Registration Date: Mar 1945 Registration district: Tonbridge Inferred County: Kent Volume: 2a Page: 1409 Obviously a copy of the certificate would explain what he died from The name, date of birth and date of death all seem to fit BUT ....................................
