Are these original para regt badges?

    Alex,

    I ran through the Spring 1944 7 Para Battalion photo looking for dark Parachute titles without luck. I could have missed them, as well not all shoulders are visible. There were men with missing insignia and some with none at all.

    I'm not in possession of my Father's wings, only some photos from the brother that I cropped to show. The first is chunky style and the other is very tatty. I asked the brother if that was the front or back and he claims it's the front ... :)

    He was in the Canadian militia and wore his wings well into the 60s on the breast, perhaps emulating the Canadian Paras?

    I guess your dad was proud to wear his wings ( and rightly so)
    Ok, so I think the wings are from my grandads uniform, the title badge I don't think was his but our family has ended up with it somehow. I'm happy in the knowledge both badges are genuine issue from WW2.

    my great grandads badges look same as your grandads and he was training in 44 too
