Can anyone help with retracing the number 2001 on this AoS marking? I found a list in the book "british military marking" but it refers to an AA unit and this is a RASC Corps Troop vehicle, Begian Army. regards, Jean
Simple explanation Jean. You have looked at the AoS numbers for Italy. In 21 Army Group 2001 was indeed an CRASC unit in 1 Canadian Army. Mike
Mike Thanks for looking this up. The picture comes from the 1005th Belgian Transport Companie. info from: http://be4046.eu/TptCoy.htm This means that those Belgians were part of the Canadian 1st Army at a certain moment. Jean
Jean, Yes. There were many non Canadian units in 1 Canadian Army including Belgian, Czech, Polish and British. I know that the personnel for seventeen Belgian companies were trained in the UK and then relieved the personnel of seventeen British companies. I cannot add anything else to the link in your post I am afraid. Mike
