Some of you know about the Kindle articles that I have put out over the last few years and wanted a book copy of them. I've put together two of them into a limited special edition and you can get it at:

    https:/www.createspace.com/5564662

I have a only few copies that I am signing and some them have already been promised to others so let me know if you want a signed copy.

FYI: a number of the older stories are in this book: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Boats-at-Arnhem-Other-Stories/dp/1927679087/

Scott Revell has just released a new 45 page booklet entitled "A Piece of Coloured Ribbon: An Insight into German award winners at the Battle of Arnhem."

It is available from our website www.baverstockandpasley.co.uk

The Battle of Arnhem is often acknowledged as being Germany’s last major victory during World War II. As a result of this battle, it is estimated that over 1,800 soldiers were individually recognised with the award of the Iron Cross (first and second class). A further eighteen soldiers and officers were bestowed with Germany’s top awards: the Knight’s Cross, German Cross in Gold and the Honour Roll Clasp.

A Piece of Coloured Ribbon is a noteworthy publication which offers readers an overview of some of the German award winners at the Battle of Arnhem. This booklet not only examines the awards and the individuals who won them but also covers some of the German units that contributed to the success at Arnhem. Extensive research of archives in the United States of America, The Netherlands and Germany, combined with information from veterans and their families (including never before published photos) brings an unique and interesting focus to this German war victory during September 1944.

Dutch Courage: Special Forces in the Netherlands 1944-45

From early September 1944, Allied special forces teams were deployed in the occupied Netherlands to strengthen the armed resistance and gather intelligence. These so-called ‘Jedburgh’ groups, created by the British Special Operations Executive (SOE) and the U.S. Office of Strategic Services (OSS), supported several major Allied operations, including Market Garden and the often overlooked SAS operations Amherst and Keystone.

One of the teams, Gambling, under command of the Dutch Captain Groenewoud, was attached to the British 1st Airborne Division.

From behind enemy lines, the Jedburgh teams successfully assisted the Allied advance through the Netherlands. Dutch Courage tells, for the first time, the complete story of their recruitment and training and their courageous actions alongside the Dutch resistance.

Richard, I do not have a copy of the book, but there is one at the Arnhem Public Library. If no one turns up with a copy, I could make a digital copy.

BTW A delegation of 7th Royal Hampshire veterans visited my (then) hometown Hengelo, Netherlands, back in 1994. I believe your father was leading them.
