    Hello,

Having recently published a book about my Grandfather's service in NWE, I have recently received a request for assistance from a friend concerning his Father's military journey from the 7th South Staffs Regiment to the HQ 10 Garrison and the liberation of Bergen-Belsen Camp (my Grandad was a part of 12 DPACS in the Panzer Training camp in from July 1945).

I have attached his Army Form B103 and whilst I understand much of the military acronyms there are some that are still beyond me. I wonder if any forum members can assist.

Column 3 line 3: C & J [?] III Gp B x 69/44 [illegible] - any idea of the illegible sections, the meaning of C & J [?] III Gp B and what does the 69/44 notation mean (also seen in column 1 of the B103)?
Column 3 line 9: [illegible] to HQ 10 Garrison - any idea of the illegible sections
Column 3 line 12: T.P.M. 10 G/165/C [illegible] 210930 [illegible] - any idea of the illegible sections and what is T.P.M.?

Finally, whilst I understand the HQ 10 Garrison were among the first British soldiers into Belsen and they took on the administration of the camp for a 11 days on 18th April, but what and who were HQ 10 Garrison?

    Many thanks for your help.

    Adrian.

    Can't help with the abbreviations.
68/44, 69/44, 72/44 are the Part 11 Orders. First no. is order no. second is the year.
69/44 (illegible) reads 69/44 amends. ie. 69/44 amends the last entry.
Line 9 could be Attd for attached but whats next no idea.
Line 12 looks like T.P.M. 10G/165/C dated 210930A refers. 10G/165/C is either a letter or signal reference and 210930A is a Date Time Group. 0930 on the 21st. 'A' is the time zone, in this case Alpha (GMT+1).
