Deacs Well i am from Cumbria.

Hi Tony i have found a Elizabeth Moses on Great Broughton (Christ Church) War Memorial but unfortunately i can't find any details on her
So i was thinking she couldn't have been in that accident at Broughton Moor Dump like that lady i sent you from Maryport Cemetery

    Regards Michael.

Tony i have searched Ancestery and this is the only Elizabeth Moses i could find who died around 1939-1947, and it is the same time has the accident of Broughton Moor Dump so i am guessing Elizabeth was a casualty of the same accident.

    Name: Elizabeth Moses

    Birth Date: abt 1897

    Date of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar 1944

    Age at Death: 47

    Registration district: Cockermouth

    Inferred County: Cumberland

And to any member who is wondering what i keep talking about the accident at Broughton Moor Dump here is a link to the details. RNAD Broughton Moor - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Accidents

An explosion occurred at RNAD Broughton Moor on the 18th January 1944 which resulted in the death of 11 people and left 70 people injured. The coroners hearing was reported in the Cumberland Evening Star in February 1944. The explosion appears to have occurred in one of the traverse laboratories, photos showing the aftermath include a 2 ft 6in gauge box van No. 267
