    Due out in February.

    Badges on Battle Dress ; An illustrated history of the cloth insignia worn on khaki and jungle green by Britain's Armed Forces 1939 to 1967 the book is in two volumes, runs to 1,200 pages and includes over 5,000 cloth badge images and 500 photos of the badges being worn. It has a Foreword by General The Lord Dannatt, Chief of the General Staff, 2006 to 2009. Cover price is £150 pounds. Delivery is likely to be by courier as Royal Mail prices are exorbitant.

    Looks like a worthy project. Good to see a book or books where images are the key and where publishers have not curtailed there use.

    The new one is being pitched as a direct update of that one by the look of it plus Cole's wartime one plus - maybe - Davis with coverage of sub-divisional badges. It might even cover the mysteries of battalion flashes...

    I was lucky enough to look through all three today (Coles original version...and both volumes of the new "BoB") I can assure you that there's no comparison. This new work is MASSIVE (and in colour)......'for what it's worth.......very very impressive
