    Hello,

Are there any picture of the BEF period were we can see the use of a gas detection paint on vehicles?

I found some of that paint when I restored my Austin Tilly.

Well, there's the top panel of this 1st Inf. Div. 16H

I have been told that it was not to be applied to fuel tanks due to risk of contamination by spilt fuel. Norton filler caps leaking ? Surely some mistake !

I don't know what's under the black panel under the gas paint and probably never will unless it can ne X-rayed. Maybe a movement code ?

This yellow matched my headlamp exactly. I matched it using Humbrol matt yellow modeller's paint !:)

    Hi John

Sorry this is a bit of a late reply. Did you take any other pictures of the gas detector paint patch on your Tilly or match it to any colour chart? Examples of this colour are few and far between. I think Rich has mentioned the only other examples I have seen.
