They should be in the WD. Regular (weekly (or monthly?) IIRC) Officer and other rank field returns were submitted to “higher authority” so rations, reinforcements etc could be allocated as necessary. The field returns recorded the reason for an officer & other rank absence from the unit - such as for training, Leave, Course, sickness, attached elsewhere or other absence etc. There was an sub section on the form for the unit to list men whom they desired to be returned to the unit (rather than posted elsewhere) and the list noted the “present” location of that man - usually a hospital - so “higher authority” could organise a return posting in due course. I have just gone over a different copy of the war diaries and can see that as the photo of the trace was from a different camera angle that the bottom map reference is 60/60.
Here is the map and the trace superimposed on one another, apologies for quality, couldn't get the transparency correct, but it is quite readable.
Both locations are just west of the Antwerp-Brussels highway A12 nowadays. the original road is still there, but very close to the highway. As you can see, both were crossings of a creek or a small stream.
