Angie999 - OK, thanks for those. I thought I'd ask so that I didn't waste what little money I've got on trash!
I did have 'Pegasus Patrol', which included the Corps of Military Police's role at Arnhem; I lent it to someone and it is now MIA :(

Also good is Joe Balkoski's "Beyond the Beachhead," which is a history of the 29th Infantry Division in Normandy, from training to Omaha and to St. Lo.

There's another title I can't remember, "No End Save Victory," I think, which is contemporary accounts of the build-up and battle.

Samuel Eliot Morison's "Invasion of France and Germany" and "Cross-Channel Attack" are the American official histories, and they are very good.

"The Victory Campaign" is the Canadian Official History.

The Australian and New Zealand official WW2 air histories cover their part of the show in Normandy.
