I'm watching the last half of this 'cos since Dr John Smith saved the world again there's nowt else on...

    Is anyone else???

This is annoying. I can't wait to see the list of "expert contributors" to this in the end credits - 'cos so far I've seen bombs leaving the bombay of a CGI'd He111 horizontally....and 360-degree-sweeping radar displays "on the coast"...

Thank god they at least avoided the BBC's mistake of the helicopter-style "chop" background noise in the Dunkirk docudrama!

I know this is nit-picking - but isn't the devil in the detail??? ;) They should be getting little details like this right by now.

Its a shame when they can spend all that time and effort on recreating some pretty impressive scenes of London ablaze, and pulling in some great eyewitness accounts. Question is, are mistakes like that deliberate, ie 'oh dont worry, no one will know' or just an oversight?

Question is - if it isn't deliberate - do they just not let their consultants SEE the final version? Do they even listen to them in the first place???

Or do they simply not care - in a "you can fool some of the people etc. etc..." sense?

The stupid thing is - it would have been so easy to get the bomb bit RIGHT!

I can understand the radar thing - if it was deliberate; the 360-degree sweeping thing is iconic...and so many of these "narrow camera angles to save on production values ;)" docudramas seem to rely on icons to carry them through things that would require time and money to do properly!

But there are SOME things...like the Blitz!!!...that deserve better than mere penny-pinching! In the sense of - if they can't do it right, don't do it at all...

No-one else see the Routemaster bus (which, after a quick glance at wikipedia, didn't enter service until the late 50s!) then?!

When I was a bit younger there used to be things called 'research' and 'continuity' that were applied to the Television and Film industry production standards. I wonder what happened to them?
And I don't class myself as OLD by any standards (though others might disagree);).

So was it worth watching then? Gonna watch it later but just don't wanna waste two hours if it's a load of rubbish.
