While researching the background of a woman who was one of my grandmother's closest friends, I came across this extraordinary biography - written by Tina Tamman. In it I discovered that Granny's friend had been the first wife of one Brian Giffey, an officer in the Worcestershires, who served throughout WWs 1 & 2 and was a Secret Agent. I doubt if many people will have heard of him, but since the story covers both world wars, and the Cold War period, I hope that it will be of interest.
