On the eastern side of Market Drayton, Shropshire, where Berrisford Road crosses the canal. This view is looking north. The white markings were supposedly to aid navigation during war-time black-outs.
Nice photos. This is the bridge next to our boatyard at Market Drayton. It carries Newcastle Road (the route of the A53 before the bypass was built). Berrisford Road passes under the canal in an aqueduct about 1/4 mile to the south. There's also a pill box on the south west corner of the Newcastle Road/Canal crossing.
