I have been in London back in February and wanted to go visit Britain at War but I was quite unsure if it was worth the entry price of over 10 quid? I opted for the HMS Belfast instead which is at a 5 minute walk from the museum. And that was worth it's entry price!

So has anyone been there and is it worth it?

Thank you for any information about it! (yes I have seen the site of it and some youtube footage and I somehow wasn't convinced...)

Is that the same one which used to be in a theatre just off Trafalgar Square? Went there years ago and thought it wasn't worth the money.

    Hi

Went there last year. Its in Tooley street quite near the London Dungeon and literally minutes from HMS Belfast. If you shop around it is possible to get some discounts from the railways that gets you in a bit cheaper.

I thought it was quite good and the owners have put in a bit of work on it with several scenarios set up and you walk through an underground air raid shelter, a pub (no real beer!), a street scene (shops with period items on display) and a bombsite with smoke and smells. We went round in an hour or so. There was some films to watch that I thought were quite detailed.

Drew (ha ha bout the beans!) yes that one exactly!! It's very pricey...

HMS Belfast is now at £10.70 quite silly when you know that there is so much more to see at the Imperial War Museum and that's free!!

Ooh thanks Auditman! I think I'd like to visit it sometime but it's still quite expensive...
