Morning folks, I am making a fake mortar shell (2" smoke) to go with my carrier... I will want to produce more in the future no doubt ! I have used a tail spigot from a used and destroyed mortar which was on ebay, I have also been given some genui fins which the threads are full of rust etc so wanted to buy a tap and die to clean the threads on the spigot and the threads in the tail fins. Does anyone know what the thread size is so I can buy the correct tap / die ? Cheers Richie
sorted, I located a metric set which cleaned the threads out perfect. If anyone has any fins which are undamaged and wants to sell them on, I would be interested ! Will save me casting new ones. I have 12 faux projectiles to make to go with my universal carrier Cheers Richie
