Here's a few more pics of Border Regt men that escaped across the Rhine. I've named the ones I can. In the large group pic that Drew posted can anyone help put the right names to the right faces? I've done the ones I can work out but after Masterton it gets a bit confusing as there are more faces than names! Cheers............

Paul pic 4 is covered in post 2......... is it not in order? as the names are from When Dragons Flew, and it gives it from left to right bar any unknowns of course.

Hi Mate Last Border photo Soldier far right is Erine Westerman Cheers Tom Are you sure?? You know what you're like with names!! Only kidding mate, thanks for your help..........
Hi Tom, Just so I'm 100% sure mate, do you mean bloke A or bloke B? I ask because if the names given in the list are in the correct order then Westerman isn't on the far right as you say?? All the best...........
Thanks Tom, although now I'm really confused because if the names on the list are in the right order that fella is supposed to be Wilf Pridmore
On the second Picture, the soldier standing is my late Uncle Alfred Reynolds. I would be really interested to talk to anybody who knew him or indeed can confirm what exactly happened to him in Arnhem.
Hi Marshy, Very famous photo of Alfred that is, which was taken I believe some place in Wolfheze.. I also have a photo of his headstone if you would like to see that let me know... Cheers Tom

As Tom has said, the picture is one of the most famous from the battle. It was taken on the 17th Sept at the North Eastern end of Wolfheze village. I have attached another photo which I believe shows your Uncle and other men of the 1st Battalion in the Dakota which took them to Arnhem and also Alf's page from my database. For more info on him, try this link: ParaData | A living history of the Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces All the best.......
