Aha Graham Dunlop's thesis!! I used to work with him once upon a time.

Lots of interesting things here. Check out Appendix 5 - Operations research report into the logistics effort by stores type over different terrain and operational activity.

A reminder of this 2006 PhD paper by Graham Dunlop, after Fatboy Coxy referred to it as a source - in his alternative history of the Malaya campaign and the PhD Abstract states:
    From: https://core.ac.uk/download/429714369.pdf

The author was a retired Royal Marine when studying at Edinburgh. I expect the PhD became a book: Military Economics, Culture and Logistics in the Burma Campaign, 1942-1945 (London:
Pickering & Chatto Ltd, 2009). Not cheap, just under £50. See: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Military-E...show_all_btm?ie=UTF8&reviewerType=all_reviews

This is an excellent book, and it is strongly recommended, essential even, if you want to understand the war in Burma.

If, on the other hand, you just want to bollox on about how your grampy was a brave Chindit in the green hell of Burma then try Facebook - there are plenty of groups for that!
