British Control Commission Germany - What was their purpose!

    Another from the CWGC miscellaneous section. The British Control Commission (Germany)

    I noted there were 93 deaths, both men and women, young and old during the period 25/07/1945 to 31/12/1947.

    Why so many deaths? was it a dangerous assignment or just natural causes.

    Would appreciate some information?
