    Hello,

I bought this british battledress trousers. (left on 1st picture)

I think this is a pair of p40 BD trousers, but I've seen some little difference with (my) other p40 trousers.

Is it a pair of p40 BD trousers? Do you guys have more information why you think (not) so?

Compared to my 1945 dated BD trousers I see that this trousers have lines of stitching around the waist. my other trousers don't have this.

I know there exist p46 trousers (that are even more rare) and they have 12 buttons on the inside, but I just see the stitching of the 2 buttons of the back...

    Thanks for your help!

1940 Pattern trouser, for definite. The vertical stitching is a dart and is used to bring the waistband in so they fit tighter. I've got a few pairs like this.

Thanx, some others already said to me it looks like a "modified" pair of p40 trousers
