VP: don't take a river trip west from Westminster pier, the newer riverside buildings are 'orrible. Way beyond pastiche.

As for the City, 122 Leadenhall Street { the "Cheesegrater" } is interesting for the method of construction employed, except that the bolts holding it together fell off months after it was finished, due to hydrogen embrittlement: " a material failure mechanism within the bolt material." Bolted back together later.
