    That seems to sum up the position Canada finds itself in to-day- long ways from Ortona - Liri valley and the Gothic Line

    Thanks for posting Randy, thats well written and the guy has a way with words "crawled back under the fridge". I was aware of most of what is said in the article especially the Canadians having boots on the ground early in Afghanistan with JTF2 and the feats of thier Snipers, thier no bullshit attitude in Bosnia........ and the demise of the Airborne not the first time thats happened they were scattered to the four winds after WW2, but I did not know of thier role in Cyprus.........guess I dont quite know it all then:lol:

    Thank you for a brilliant article Randy !

    I think that there are many nations with a similar fate. We have had the same rhetoric here in Norway. When the USSR ceased to exist, the need for a fighting army was gone. History has proven otherwise.
