The proceedings of a US Military Commission held at Yokohama in Japan between 17 September 1946 and 27th November 1946 is available online at the links given below. The case includes an account of the death of Corporal James Laidler Scott 4273855, who died on 2nd February 1945. Casualty Details | CWGC R.I.P. It is often the case that statements to be found in records of war crimes trial proceedings refer to more events than involve the charge, or, in this case, specifications, concerning the accused. I have listed the statements collected by the US prosecution team, ( hopefully accurately ) The US had the jurisdiction to try cases concerning POWs in Japan, so they had the running of the case, although there is only one US Navy witness. The rest are Canadian or British. There is also much about Hong Kong and other places which has been "crossed through" in the statements.
