Hi, My Dad joined the Pictou Highlanders in 1939 and spent most of the war at various posts within Canada. He was sent O/S during the last 14 months of his service and I have no idea where he was stationed. All I know is he was an Instructor in Morse Code while stationed there. Where would someone who did such a job have been stationed in the UK during the last months of the war.

    Thanks you

He could have been attached to the British Royal Signals or to one of the Special Operations Executive Signals Training Schools, what was his name and rank? Will help checking.

As a morse code instructor - and since most of his students near the end of the war were over in France - Italy etc - he might have been posted to a signals outfit probably attached to the British Signals dealing with overseas work as that was mostly with morse code...
    Cheers
