    John,

Are you aware of any photos of Capt. Strathern with kilt during the period of Op Varsity? I can't find any info on the circumstances of his death and if he wore his kilt on the operation.

    Regards ...

Sadly they do not appear to have any copies left and I am having difficulty tracking down a copy of the booklet. Can someone do me a favour and PM me copies of the additional photos of Ogilive and Strathearn in their kilts? (these are not for publication but merely for private research)

Thank you so much for posting this video! Captain Ogilvie was my grandmothers cousin. It was lovely to hear about his military history spoken by his daughter!

  5. My mother was Kenneth's twin, Kathleen Mary Strathern.
Robert and Robina both died as babies.
My Uncle Michael, Gerrard Michael Strathern was born in 1919 and died aged 76, also in Oban.
Their parents were married in 1910 in Oxfordshire. Robert Fairley Strathern and Emma Stevenson Macrae.
