I'm off to Italy again shortly and plan visiting some (or at a push all) of the above cemeteries - any requests just let me know, I can't promise anything at the moment but will try.

temptage I thought it would only take a few weeks......

Italy has been my long term nemesis. In 8 years of working on my project I have had very few photos from there. The last lot I received were from the Cassino Memorial, but unfortunately the sun was in the wrong position and with the Memorial itself being made out of a horribly patterned marble, the names were unreadable. I have spoke to someone at the CWGC who said that although the stone makes it difficult, good photos CAN be taken with a good zoom, which is essential, and the right lighting. Sadly they never told me what time of day the ideal time was to take the photos!!!

Whatever you can get I would be most grateful.

If it helps, I will be guiding a group on the Gothic Line next week so if anyone also needs photos from Rimini Gurkha, Gradara, Montecchio or Coriano Ridge, please say and I will get them.

I will be at Cassino the week after.

I’ve got the Cassino cemetery and Memorial ones but as previously mention it’s not easy to get clear images so they are hit and miss, if you can get them too Frank hopefully between us we get something good

I’m not sure if you plan visiting the Carpathian memorial, if so it’s shut, although you can get round the fence.

Not the gate by the Polish cemetery, actually at the memorial it has a temporary fence up and there are water tanks by the memorial, I’m not sure what they are doing

    Cheers

Drat. Good to know that you can just walk around the fence. I will be doing just that.

It’s a little up and over to get round, but unless anyone has real mobility problems it shouldn’t be an issue.

Just leaving Assisi Cemetery, got the requests about but worth noting while I’m here I had a look on findagrave in case there were any outstanding requests on there and it looks fully covered so it may be worth getting those as well as mine to have alternatives. As photos are fair sized I’ll not be posting til I’m back home.

Sorry to say Arezzo is off the list, no left luggage and maps has it as a 5.6 mile walk, and I don’t fancy carrying all my stuff (not that it’s a lot) in this heat, so I’m Arezzo station cafe having a cornetto planning the journey to Florence

    Sorry
