The last may, I've met the students of the Windsor Secondary School, during their visit at the Commonwealth Cassino War Cemetery, Italy.
Really a great experience to see these students and, their respect for the Canadian Soldiers died.

This is a slideshow of that day and I'm really happy to be there with my friends:

Good to see the photos of the men who lie in those graves.

The Lord Strathcona Horse took a bit of a pasting in the Liri valley and many of them are still in Italy. As are many of the 1st and 5th Armoured Divsions.

Thanks to Damiano for this video and the Schoolchildren from Windsor Secondary who did an excellent job on their tour - reminds me that Stan Scislowski came from that City and wrote his unforgettable article on a visit to that same cemetery..well worth "googling - Return to Cassino"
    Cheers

    Damiano.

I was at the Cassino CWGC yesterday evening. Many of the Canadian flags are still in place.
