Just to announce to everyone in case you did not know, that Bawdsey Radar Station, acknowledged to be the real birth of radar defence in the UK is one of the properties you will be able to follow and vote for in the next BBC Restoration Series. The aim is to restore the main transmitter block and install a museum to its role, especially in the Battle of Britain to which radar was so important. The eventual aim is also to raise once more one of the Chain Home Towers. Keep yourselves updated at www.bawdseyradargroup.co.uk Make your vote count! Ryan P.S. If anyone has any info relating to this they wish to share I am also the voluntary webmaster for this project.
The BBC2 restoration programme featuring this site will air on 3rd August. Make your vote count and lets get a WW2 monument into the final! Cheers Ryan

Wow cool - thanks everyone. I have no idea how many votes are needed but aside from the obvious military bias I do think it is so unusual to have such a building on this type of series. For your additional information there will be another programme made on the site shown on Anglia TV and BBC4 in October. More details when I receive some. thats was an Interesting project and certainly an historic one worthy of the plans to restore the main block and create a museum. We will be voting as planned all 30 of us. (I found another 2 in the IT department willing to help)
Fingers crossed & thanks to all who voted! If anyone lives near it there is a special open day this saturday in conjunction with the BBC Ryan
