I am stuck on understanding a line from my uncles WW2 army service record, it states:- Classified 3 (three) Stars WEF I know WEF is With Effect From. What does Classified 3 (three) Stars mean? He was a trooper and at the time with Royal Armoured Corps Records. I have googled and googled and not found an answer, any ideas?
Give us a fighting chance mate ! Let's have a photo of the page of his records in which this appears. If you are wondering how this should be shown, click on my icon and look at my army records in the Gallery Ron
Welshbob Think it means that he might have been a better trooper than a ONE star - never really heard about stars until after the war so not too sure what it actually means- some of the younger ones will know ... Cheers
I thought something like a 3 star trooper, a prelude to bing made lance corperal pehaps but I have never heard of it before nor find anything online, though the Irish army have a private 3 star.
Welshbob You may be right inasmuch as he was a 3 star two months before being made Lance Cpl - certainly after the war... Cheers
Hi Tom It does make sence, I just haven't heard of it before though this is my first army record all the rest of my lot joined the RAF. Cheers
