    Dear Alan,
Danke and hanks for this document.
I will send the link to our town officials deciding that our escape tunnel from 1941 is not worth to be protected and destroyed the last yard and exit. The shaft and first five yards are most likely still in the ground of the camp, today Police Academy.

May be this video will help to let archeologist dig for it.

Stefan......I assume from your username, you are referring to Oflag V-B at Lindele / Biberach ?

I applaud your efforts to remember the camp and escape at Lindele. From my visit to
Colditz, I got the impression the POW Camps are not so interesting for the Germans.
Colditz is different as it became famous with the British due to the televison series, but
the people (like me...) who watched that are getting older, and soon the younger generation
    will not visit even Colditz.

Colditz has it's own pressures as the State wishes to use the castle for more community
purposes; hence the Youth Hostel, and now the music school, which will cause the
loss of any historical access to the Theatre.

I would strongly recommend you contact Ralph Gorny, runs the Hotel Pension "Zur alten Stadtmauer" in Colditz town. He knows a lot about the politics of the museum / historical versus the state.

    Alan.
