My stepsons grandfather was born Nov. 10th, 1924 and died May 20th, 2001 and served both in WW2 and Korea. My stepson brought him up in a conversation this last weekend and was curious about his involvement in in both wars. Since I have no ties with Corp Krieg's family (I'm the stepdad), AND my stepsons dad passed away years before Corp Kreig died and has no contact with that part of his family (I raised him since he was 2) any advice on how I can go about researching the information for my Stepson?

    John,

As your subject is a US Marine we can give some general advice, our primary focus is on the British and Commonwealth involvement in WW2 though. We do have members from the US though, who may chip in.

Our sister US site is ww2f.com .

Occasionally I have sought the advice of Bill B. See: WW2 Casualties Database | Military Records Research | WW2 Research Inc

    Good luck.
