Hello, I am looking for information and a photo of Corpral Ernest Milne Ronchetti (7395225) 76 Field Hygiene Section. His unit belonged to the 11th Armored Division (UK). He died at Gescher on March 30, 1945 at the age of 24. After the war he was reburied at the British military cemetery in Kleve. He had apparently been on a motorcycle. Are there any documents that say what exactly he died of? And are there reports from March 29 to March 30, 1945 about his unit? I am very grateful for any information.

    Best regards

It is possible he has a mention in the War Diary for the unit, which is held in The National Archives but obviously at the moment access is restricted

I have to say I am unsure how to access details of his death, do you have his service records?, have you tried contacting the RAMC archives?

    Others may have better advice

Unfortunately, I don't have his service records.
And so far I haven't had any contact with the RAMC archives.

Service records are the very first place to start your research - they provide the skeleton (no pun) on which to build the rest. Assuming he is no longer with us then the forms you need to obtain his service records from the MOD are here Request records of deceased service personnel
