My previous post was about a father and son - BUDDEN - sharing the same gave in CWGC Stanley War Cemetery, Hong Kong, and I have just discovered, on looking through my files again, of 2 brothers who are also sharing a grave in that very same cemetery. These 2 brothers - Peter and Albert ULRICH - died on the same day, Thursday, December 18th, 1941, whilst both were serving with the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps. They were born only one year apart. Even though they have individual headstones, the CWGC lists them as having a 'collective grave'. One assumes that they are, therefore, sharing the same plot of ground/grave with 4 other members of that same regiment. p.s. Difficult to ignore the surname ''ULRICH'' and interesting to note that of the 33 ULRICHs commemorated by the CWGC, 19 served with the German Army and the remainder with British, Commonwealth and Allied Forces.I wonder if they had relatives in Germany?
