Hello Merseygirl. I have just joined this forum. I see you were interested in the movements of 1st Bn Rifle Brigade around D-Day. My wife has just completed the self publishing of her father's memoirs - "My Wartime Wanderings" by Kenneth L Phillips. He was in B Company 1st Bn Rifle Brigade from 1941 all through to Normandy and on up to Germany. He boarded his vessel at Tilbury on 4 June and landed on Gold beach on 8 June. Maybe this helps?
