D-day order of battle

    Apparently the change to the new software some time ago "ate" the second part of your doc, and also mixed up the pages, so I am posting all 3 parts here again:
    SWORD - ONEAST S7B - with colours added - 1.jpg

    Thanks for that, Michel. It's good of you to put it all back together. I copied the original chart many years ago from a huge bound volume of Operation Neptune records at the Public Record Office (as it then was). It was in black and white and I added the colours, hopefully for more clarity.

    The landing table above makes reference to “Assault BOE”, “Intermediate BOE” and “Reserve BOE”. Does anyone know what BOE stands for? Thanks in advance.
     
  4. That's BDE, i.e. Bde (the official abbreviation for "Brigade"), not BOE.
