Hi, whilst going through gallantry citations for the closing stages of the Italian Campaign I found some recommendations made by the Deputy Adjutant and Quartermaster General Eighth Army, a Brigadier whose signature I can't make out (see attached image). Can anyone assist? Also, and this is probably very obvious, but one was countersigned by the DDL. Eighth Army, a Colonel. Can anyone assist with what DDL stands for, and any help on deciphering the signature would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks in anticipation.
Hi, I’d agree with Gary re DDL meaning. As for signatures, I’d suggest Drayton and Statham perhaps? Regards Tom
