    Panther "225" suffered a wrecked track from a direct hit by Sergeant Harris's Sherman Firefly. The Panther finished up against the Lingèvres war memorial

    Panthers "J" and "K" on the plan which were pushed into the ditches on either side of the bridge 200 metres west of the church at Lingèvres where they remained for two years. Sergeant Harris's Sherman Firefly was 90 metres in front of the Panther on the left, behind the trees

    Some nice pics there Sol,

    Is this a Grizzly Bod (or an M4 with Grizzly tracks), dont look like regular M4 tracks?

    Hope these guys got out, hatches open??? Wisp of smoke there, will it is a Sherman.

    Lucky guys if they got out, Good shooting, slap right in the middle, 75 or 88mm judging by the big hole. Went through like butter??

    The tree between the two craters seems to have had all of the leaves removed from the upper branches.

    I assume that these were aerial bomb craters and since there appears to be only two I would guess that they were dropped by tactical fighters rather than carpet bombing. Some fine marksmanship.

    That last one - is that one of Alfred Becker's conversions used by Kampfgruppe Von Luck in Normandy???

    No, it's not easy to identify due to general condition but it's a Marder III, based on a Pz 38(t) chassis.

    Nothing some spit and polish won't cure as we all know Überpanzers are invulnerable and all photos above are photoshopped.
