This book covers aspects of collecting Kriegsmarine artifacts , written by Eduardo (Delgrado) from Madrid/ Spain one of Europe's leading experts and collectors.
The author has in the main based the book on irtems he has collected over the past twenty plus years , you will find represented here items which are found on a regular basis as well as many rare and less often seen items of equipment and uniform.
The book has been produced to an extremely high quality, 500 odd pages with up on 3000 illustrations , period photos , captions are concise and tight and the supporting text is excellent. A well written , thoughtfully produced and well put together project.
The photos are sharp ,clear and surrender every detail you could ask for , no shadows or loss of quality - professionally taken IMO.
The book is as good as you will probably ever find in one volume this said there will always be limitations which a publisher has to impose and which an author has to accept if a project is to be reasonable in terms of costs , production and commercial viability. certainly there are aspects which one could say " well I would have liked to have seen more binoculars" ( my own wee pet subject) , but if you carried this acros the board the book would be too large to publish , too expensive and production values would fail.
the author has provided a good reference index which leads to other comprehensive works eg Hans seegers book on Military Handheld Binoculars, books from Rodger bender - their 3 x Volume book on "Uniforms and Traditions of the Kriegsmarine", which in fairness has travelled quite well but in terms of production and illustration would have been in need of an update.
In life you often pay for what you get and this one does not disappoint. It will be on sale via Amazon from December on wards and in the mean time copies can be obtained from the author via Wehrmacht Awards forum , his pen name there is km-spain.
to be honest I had been looking orward to this book for a while and have not been disappointed by it.
    Some sample pages attached.
