Driver J Taylor 800 Coy RASC - a very lucky man

    I found this in a file at The National Archives yesterday. It's part of the load manifest for Dakota KG 566 which crashed at Arnhem on 21st September 1944 while attempting to deliver supplies. It was recovered from the crashed aircraft.
    For some reason Driver Taylor was taken off the plane at the last moment and replaced with Driver G Van Ingen. All on board perished in the crash.

    Not quite so lucky for my grandfather J Dellanzo who perished in the flight ;(
