Duxford Hotel

    Swiper has noted that IWM Duxford Museum is attempting to put in an Hotel on the site.

    Have dug out the planning application:
    Planning Application Details S/2896/19/FL

    I personally find it quite intriguing.
    Money tight in museums, so maybe an interesting direction to take.

    (Digging into planning applications I see the Land Warfare Hall is also due for demolition, to be replaced by a 'Conservation Centre'. It was certainly always a gloomy place to display that part of the collection (as anyone that's tried to get good photos there will know). Equally intrigued to see what the specific plan there is.

    If only they hadn't blown up the aircraft hangar just to make a film...
