Glowing review Marc, well done for writing what must have been a difficult book.
    I must buy a copy.

    Marc,

I am glad that you have received a most excellent review of your book.

It deserved nothing less and is a must read book as far as I am concerned.

The only thing wrong with my copy is that it does not have your
    signature :D.

I wish you well with sales.

    Regards
    Tom

    Tim, Mike, Tom and Goody,

Many thanks for your kind words and support of my little project. This latest review (and the recent one by Rob Davis on his personal website) make me feel like I didn't waste a huge amount of time and effort.

Tim, I hope things are going well in your new gig.

Goody: yes, it is available at all major outlets in the UK. They might not have it in stock (call first), but they can all order it. I have seen it on the shelf in Foyle's (Charing Cross). And Amazon has it in stock.

    Best regards,

    Marc

Tim and I had the pleasure of meeting Marc for lunch last year. A very good book to read and no doubt very difficult to write.
    Cheers

    Congratulations Marc,

It was a pity your Dad was unable to link up with one of the underground escape lines to make a successful 'home run'.

I'm very pleased to advise that Escape, Evasion and Revenge is now available in both Kobo and Nook format.

well i will admit i bought this book and i will admit i cannot put it down, such a compelling read, reads like an action thriller but is a true story, great read, well researched an i will pointing this book in the direction of a few people who like this kind of thing :)

    Hutchie,

Many thanks for your kind words. I hope that you made it all the way through, and continued to feel this way by the end.

Feedback such as yours is very reassuring, especially after I spent 20 years on the project. :)

    Thanks again,

    Marc

    Marc,
It needs a screenplay now! Even Spielberg couldn't have invented that plot.

Marc seems closer to that screenplay now. I certainly hope this story eventually becomes a movie.

For you lot in the U.K., look for this in January.

    He recently posted on Facebook:

"I'm very pleased to report that I recently spent 3 days with a BBC film crew, being interviewed for a brief story they are doing about my late father, Squadron Leader Peter Stevens MC. It is expected to be a 10-minute report for their TV program 'Inside Out', and will likely air sometime in January. More details as they become available.
We filmed at the Regent Street Polytechnic (where Dad had completed his high school education when he arrived as a refugee in London). Anna McNally, the school's archivist, showed me entries about Dad (Georg Franz Hein, a German Jew) in the school yearbook, and also entries concerning another student named P. Stevens. Later, we visited the new International Bomber Command Memorial near Lincoln, where I was shown a panel with the name of Sgt Ivor Roderick Fraser, Dad's Air Gunner who was lost on the Berlin raid of Sept 7-8, 1941, when Dad force-landed in Holland and was later captured. We went on to visit the Hemswell Court Hotel, which is where Dad was billeted for more than 3 months as a new combat pilot on arrival at 144 Squadron (and where I met historian, Sqn Ldr Phil Bonner), then the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre at East Kirkby, to see their Hampden restoration project, and finally we met with Dr. Dan Ellin, to learn about Dad's time as a POW.
    What a great 3 days!"

I bought Marc's book - a very good read, one of those you can't put down.
    It should make a dramatic film;

    Marc,

How much detailled research went into the book of the family background in Hannover?

Are you intending to have your book translated to German?
I am sure interest in this type of a great story would be pretty popular im Germany too.

    Stefan.
